Spiralcutter VL and VL+

FOODCONS spiral cutter VL and VL+ have been developed and improved over a 19-year period. Originally, they were developed to produce spiral cuts of carrots, however today, the vegetable processing goes much further and spaghetti cuts of a wide range of vegetables can be produced by those machines. The spiral cutter further processes, for instance, courgettes/zucchinis, red beet, and butternut squash.

Manufactured in the UK to the highest specification, the machine is made of a robust construction using stainless steel and FDA approved materials throughout. Designed with ease of use in mind, the machine guarding is simply removable to allow for blade size changeovers & hygiene processes.

The spiral cutter can easily be loaded manually by filling the vegetables into the letterbox guard. A two-hand start system ensures the safety of the machine operator the moment, products fall into the machine. Pneumatic cylinders with spiked plates push the vegetable towards the rotating blade. The rotating blade centers the product with its concave design. Finger blades and straight blades produce the spaghetti cuts.

The spaghetti products drop out under the spiral cutter and are collected in a Eurobin. Waste is separated from the finished products and collected in a waste tray within the machine frame. The pneumatic cylinders return back to original position and are ready to start next cycle.
